As beautiful as Indigenous culture and worship traditions are, many of us feel a distance from them because they are not our “own” traditions. We worry about appropriation. But to what and where ARE we Native? What land is our home, where we can cultivate our own sense of Indigenaity? Doing so respectfully enables us to be in deep relationship with the land around us, from which we can feel more present, and heals the rift between the immigrant and their place of current residence.
