From the French word for “cloak”, chaplaincy is a tradition of care alongside. I will tell the story of St. Martin of Tours, who had mercy on a man freezing in the rain. We’ll make note of France’s celebration of Bastille Day, and what the quality of freedom means for a spirituality guided by love and care for one another.
